That is why life is so cool you just never know. It also blows a little that someones appearance can cause me to judge someone. But if you talked to me with only eyes visible in the traditional burka i would have also told you the benefits of yogurt and smiled.....but i may have wondered if you smiled also. but of course eyes never lie. m Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01930777317957251211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7364449760429050103.post-82392449871949697032012-07-21T09:50:19.832-06:002012-07-21T09:50:19.832-06:00Joy - is Franklin in Middle Tennessee? And we have a knack for picking the most evangelist/conservative areas in the US, for some reason. Might be quite a shock after South Africa. If we do, then there'll be at least one other Obama sticker driving around other than yours.Sinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09971554811306102478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7364449760429050103.post-65372384131974930482012-07-20T15:22:33.709-06:002012-07-20T15:22:33.709-06:00You are one amazingly brave (and creative!) chick!...You are one amazingly brave (and creative!) chick! Maybe he was on crack. Well I'm glad your experiment turned out positive. I think Americans are so worried about being politically incorrect (or sued) that they go out of their way to be nice to those who are different. Maybe they're just nice and tolerant. I am actually not surprised at all. To me,...Marie,

I am actually not surprised at all. To me, Americans are the most tolerant people on Earth, which is one reason why my husband and I became American citizens two years ago. They (we) might sometimes not be tolerant in theory but when it comes to actually dealing with people, everyone goes out of their way to be nice, just like you described. Whereas other nationalities might be very tolerant in theory but not when it comes to dealing with people. If that makes sense.

You know what I'm most impressed with? Not only that you did this (takes a LOT of courage), but that you did this now, when you must be in the midst of moving-related stress! What did your kids think? That you're absolutely crazy?Sinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09971554811306102478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7364449760429050103.post-25099279024847735202012-06-22T12:34:44.128-06:002012-06-22T12:34:44.128-06:00I'm pleased but surprised that there was no re...I'm pleased but surprised that there was no reaction.
